Optical navigation of the robot

Newly developed measuring camera system FrontEnd serves as a tool for an accurate navigation of the robot during automated mounting of the frontend part of the assembled vehicle Skoda Superb and Skoda Yeti. During navigation of the robot, position of the assembled vehicle is measured and system compensates inaccuracies that occur in dimensions and in vehicle fitting during the assembly. Position of the vehicle is measured by two cameras with laser triangulation method, where from the position of the reference point the direction of axes of coordinate system is determined.
